Background & History:
In the early 1900s counties in many farming states began to ban together to increase farm and farmer support. By 1918, several counties across Iowa formed the Iowa Farm Bureau Federation. A Farm Bureau is a voluntary, non-governmental organization governed by and representing all agriculture producers.
In the 1940s, Farm Bureau Financial Services (FBFS) was established to meet the needs of members of the Iowa Farm Bureau Federation.

Since then, FBFS has grown to serve more than just a rural population. The company now serves a customer base across 15 states.
