People who need some inspiration to renew their RV insurance and hit the open road this summer can look no further than a Connecticut couple who are mixing charitable work into a year-long adventure.
A recent report in the Hartford Courant tells the story of Dave and Amy Mueller, who are stopping in various parts of the U.S. this summer with their 30-foot RV to do volunteer work. The pair, who are reportedly motivated by their strong religious beliefs, plan to stop and do volunteer work in places like New Orleans, West Virginia, and the Lakota Indian reservation in South Dakota.
"People say we are too old for this, that this is a younger person's game or something you do in retirement. They say you don't do this in the middle of your career. But we felt the need to do this now. We will work out the rest when we get back," Dave Mueller told the newspaper.
The newspaper also noted that the couple had sold their home and quit their jobs to embark on the public service expedition.
Whether RV owners are interested in a new lifestyle or just in seeing some new places this summer, you won't get far without RV insurance.
