Safety Classes Can be the Route to Low Cost Auto Insurance

Adult drivers are finding that one good way to get low cost auto insurance is to take a driver safety course.

A report in Florida's Naples Daily News focuses on a group of local residents who recently completed an AARP Driver Safety Program. The newspaper notes that the courses involve eight hours of class time over two day. The program reportedly teaches drivers about newer laws while allowing them to refresh driving skills.

"Some of this stuff you know. But it's still good to be refreshed," driver Rosemary Korte told the newspaper.

The newspaper also noted that some drivers were new to Florida, which made the course even more useful because it gave them a chance to learn about some of the state's specific driving laws.

The AARP offers its driving safety classes all over the country, so people who are interested will be likely to find one of their own. By taking the class, drivers may pick up some valuable new knowledge while also ensuring themselves low cost auto insurance.
