Safe Vehicles Can Lower Cost of Auto Insurance Quote
One way to get a reasonably priced auto insurance quote is to maintain a clean driving record and to drive a safe car.
With that in mind, Forbes magazine offered consumers a list of 15 of the safest 2009 vehicle models on the market.
According to the magazine, the 2009 Audi Q7 earned the highest crash test rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration as well as high marks from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.
The magazine noted that others making the list of the safest vehicles included that Mitsubishi Outlander, the Saturn Vue, the Mercedes Benz M Class and the Volvo XC90. Forbes also said that SUVs tend to be safe because of their size, with some models making the list.
A safe vehicle can positively impact one's auto insurance quote by making a crash less likely and also because insurers often look favorably on vehicles that are deemed to have higher safety standards.
