Poll: Consumers More Inclined To Trust Their Life Insurance Company
Consumers are more likely to view their life insurance company more favorably, according to a recent survey.
A new Harris Poll finds that 65 percent of consumers believe life insurance companies are doing a good job serving their customers, compared to 27 percent who do not.
This 38 point difference is the best showing for the life insurance industry in several years and a 12 point gain over last year's poll. Two years ago, only 18 percent of consumers believed that the companies were doing a good job.
The upswing in consumer confidence is likely due to signs of a recovering economy and an overall stabilization of financial markets and the companies that do business in them, which includes many insurance companies.
Even at the height of the recession, statistics indicated that the insurance industry had seen a significant decline in profits, even though it maintained overall stability in the process.
Consumers can also find a good life insurance company that they can trust when shopping around for a policy online.
