September is a Great Time to Shop for Good Life Insurance Rates
Families are being encouraged to shop around for good life insurance rates this month because September happens to be Life Insurance Awareness Month.
With that in mind, Connecticut Insurance Commissioner Thomas R. Sullivan recently offered some pointers to those who may be interested in securing their family's financial stability by investing in a policy.
"Life insurance is not a one size fits all product. Your financial situation and family composition are unique, and you owe it to yourself to review your insurance needs, plan for life's uncertainties, and secure a financial future for those who depend on you," said Sullivan.
Sullivan's office encourages consumers to consider how much income they need to provide their families with in the event of their death, and to include other potential dependents, such as aging parents or grandparents, in their financial planning - as well as the cost of their own final expenses.
Consumers are also advised to know exactly what type of policy will suit them best, with a handful of different options available on the market. Finally, shopping around for the best life insurance rates is also part of a good financial strategy.
