Satisfaction a Big Part of Handling a Home Owner Insurance Lead
An important part of closing on a home owner insurance lead is assuring a customer that they can rely on whatever policy they end up purchasing.
With that in mind, J.D. Power and Associates recently announced that for the first time in five years, homeowners' satisfaction with their insurance policies has increased significantly. The study focuses on things like pricing, billing and payment procedures, and claims.
According to the report, overall satisfaction with insurers now stands at 773 on a 1,000 point scale, which is said to be a 21 point increase over 2008's figures. The gains were said to be spurred by improved satisfaction with policy prices, with this category increasing by 46 points over last year's totals.
Another point is that homeowners who receive discounts for various reasons on their policies are far more likely to be more satisfied with their policies. This comes even as fewer overall consumers reported receiving such discounts last year, which may be traceable to factors like the economy and weather events that have cost insurers heavily in recent years.
Homeowners have various ways to get discounts from many carriers, such as installing smoke and burglar alarms, and adding weather proofing features to help guard against storm damage and other problems.
By taking some time to ensure customer satisfaction, almost any home owner insurance lead has the potential to become a sale.
