Don't Let Economy Keep You From Checking for Life Insurance Quotes
Many people, especially in the current economy, may feel that shopping for life insurance quotes is a waste of time because they don't have much money. However, going without insurance could cost far more in the long run.
According to LIMRA International, about one-third of U.S. adults currently have no life insurance, and many of those who do have policies tend to carry minimal amounts or workplace-sponsored group insurance. About one-quarter of the Baby Boom generation is also said to lack life insurance, even as they get closer to their retirement years.
However, a report from KDKA-TV in Pittsburgh drives home the importance of protecting one's family with insurance.
One local funeral home owner told the station that about half his clients lack insurance, especially younger ones who die in accidents or fires and whose families then struggle to arrange their final expenses.
Insurance can be especially important for parents of young children and for those caring for aging parents or other dependents. However, some may choose to invest in a policy just to be able to have the financial freedom to leave behind charitable donations. With these things in mind, taking the time to shop for life insurance quotes may be an especially valuable investment.
