Life insurance premiums can be lowered to better fit into a person's budget. It's important for consumers to completely understand the benefits of the coverage in addition to factors that affect cost.
A person's health is one of the main components that determines life insurance rates. Those who are in poor health from smoking, for example, may be surprised to learn their habit is doing more than deteriorating their lungs. Being overweight, too, can cause heath problems and premiums to rise.
The American Council on Exercise has established a lofty goal for itself - eliminate obesity in 25 years. They plan to reach the goal through continuing education efforts and support programs.
Scott Goudeseune, ACE president and CEO, says current efforts need to be modified in order to reach weight loss goals.
"To achieve this goal, we believe there needs to be a new approach to fitness, one that addresses the issues of time and expense, empowers those not currently active and encourages Americans of all ages to engage in healthy eating and physical activity," says Goudeseune.
For some people, determining which activities they enjoy increases their likelihood of staying active more frequently.
