InsureMe Hires Industry Veteran
Lou Geremia to join insurance lead service
DENVER - July 2nd, 2008 - InsureMe, Inc., a Bankrate company, announced today that Lou Geremia has joined the company as chief revenue officer. Mr. Geremia will be responsible for overseeing InsureMe's sales and marketing efforts and will report to InsureMe's CEO, Tim McTavish. Mr. Geremia's appointment was effective in May.
InsureMe is a web-based insurance referral service for auto, home, life, health and long term care insurance, providing leads to insurance professionals throughout the United States. In February 2008, Bankrate, Inc. purchased InsureMe in order to expand its insurance offerings.
"We are pleased to have Lou Geremia join our team," said CEO Tim McTavish. "His talent, experience and knowledge of the insurance industry will be a great enhancement to InsureMe's sales growth," Mr. McTavish added.
Before joining InsureMe, Lou Geremia co-founded Insurance.com in 1999 and was most recently overseeing business development, partner relations and online marketing programs. Prior to Insurance.com, Mr. Geremia was senior vice president at Banc One/First USA Bank, and also has held marketing and strategy positions with Fidelity Investments, Providian Direct Insurance and Travelers Life Insurance.
