InsureMe affiliate manager and online marketing expert, James Omdahl will speak at Commission Junction University this month, on the power of business blogging.

As a leader in the affiliate marketing industry, InsureMe rolled out a number of new features for its affiliates over the last year, including increased payouts, new co-branding and script tracking capabilities, as well as the InsureMe Affiliate Blog. The blog is updated daily with Web marketing tips and online marketing news. But blogging, Omdahl says, does more than dole out tips.

"Blogging is an effective way for companies to build relationships, increase Web visibility and share information across the Internet-where we conduct the majority of our business."

While there are some technological advantages to creating and maintaining a blog, the real benefit of blogging brings the ability to start and participate in conversations with others across the Web, thus developing a community through which to share ideas, opinions and best practices. This has proven especially true for the affiliate marketing industry.

CJU is an annual event sponsored by Commission Junction, a Web marketing company specializing in performance-based affiliate programs. CJU runs from September 17 through September 19 in Santa Barbara, CA.
