InsureMe Announces Milestones

by Jeb Foster

DENVER - InsureMe, a business that links consumers shopping for insurance with the right insurance professionals, announced that during August the company recorded its largest revenue day in its 13-year history.

In addition to exceeding the previous record by 25 percent, InsureMe also recorded its second-largest revenue per day in August, indicating a sustained growth pattern.

The lead-generation company also witnessed a surge in traffic to its Web site during the third quarter, setting a new record of completed applications received during a single day. The peak traffic day in August was 20 percent greater than the peak day in July.

"Our goal is to help people find the right insurance by doing the shopping for them," said Tim McTavish, InsureMe's founder and chief executive officer. "Our third quarter numbers tell us that we're making good on that pledge."

The Colorado-based company, one of the first in the insurance lead-generation business, not only sustained its record of profitable quarters, but also expanded its staff by over 10 percent during 2006. InsureMe was recently recognized as one of the Best Small Companies by Working Mother magazine and listed in the Society of Human Resource Management's 50 Best Places to Work.

"What really excites us, beyond the quarter's outstanding numbers, is that we're establishing strong relationships with both consumers and insurance professionals," said Robin Paquette, InsureMe's chief operating officer. "And that's how we define success at InsureMe."
