InsureMe Reports Success for Users of Online Referral Business
Denver, Colo., - InsureMe, a leading consumer-agent link for buying insurance on the Web, is demonstrating the staying power of online insurance through the evolution of technology and new trends in insurance shopping.
InsureMe works with thousands of insurance professionals, some which have been with the company for over a decade, attesting to the growth and benefit of the online insurance business. While several agents have noted that in the past they've had to deal with issues such as "window shoppers" or consumers shopping a year out for coverage, online insurance shopping is now prevalent among all types of insurance seekers.
For example, according to the August 2005 Forrester report Online Insurance Shopping Grows With Online Tenure, almost 28% of those people shopping for auto insurance used the Internet during part of the buying process.
To meet the rising demands of online insurance shopping, the InsureMe company has provided consumers with an outlet for comparing multiple insurance rates, a service that's here to stay, according to InsureMe president, Tim McTavish.
"Consumers are confused about insurance and carriers regularly adjust their rates," says McTavish. "With the frequency with which people move or choose new vehicles, there's an obvious need for consumers to shop for their insurance."
In addition to helping consumers, InsureMe is also committed to insurance professionals, providing them with real-time leads from insurance shoppers. The business has proved to be successful for many agents; an InsureMe spokesperson relayed that the first two agents to sign up for InsureMe leads, 12 years ago, continue to purchase leads from the company today.
"Insurance agents are finding it increasingly difficult to find interested customers," notes McTavish. "They are limited by the 'no-call' list and changes in advertising. Now, agents can connect with serious prospects-saving them advertising dollars and providing them with all the necessary information to save them time when working up a quote."
To meet the growing needs of insurance professionals, InsureMe has incorporated special features into their agent program such as online account management and the ability to control the type and quantity of leads received, features many agents attribute to their success with the online leads.
In a recent survey of agents who purchase leads online, multiple agents commented on the flexibility and specifications available with the service.
"I love the format of the leads and the filtering capabilities," noted one agent. "I really appreciate the ability to control the type of leads I receive."
Another agent surveyed reported, "Overall, it's a great experience. I enjoy the fact that I can set a maximum [limit] on the leads I receive. Other lead services don't quite have the same technology."
With new technologies and advancements on the horizon, the InsureMe company remains committed to helping consumers and agents find exactly what they need.
"It really is a perfect fit," says McTavish. "And with the growing number of online insurance shoppers, consumers and agents alike should enjoy success for years to come."
